Death toll in Gulmi, Udayapur accidents reach 15
As many as eight persons have died when a TATA sumo jeep skidded off the road and fell around 400 meters down at Katari Municipality-11 in Udayapur Monday. They were killed on the spot. 
 
Six others are missing, the police said, adding that further details of the accident are awaited. The ill-fated jeep (Na 1 Ja 3404) was heading towards Okhaldhunga from Katari in Udayapur. 
 
The injured have been sent to Katari Hospital for treatment, according to SP Nawaraj Bhatta of Udayapur district. 
 
Similarly, at least 15 passengers have been killed in two separate road accidents in Gulmi and Udayapur on Monday. 
 
Seven people were killed, six others injured and two were missing when a passenger microbus met with an accident at Gulmi Durbar rural municipality ward no 4 in Gulmi district. 
 
The identities of those killed in the incident are yet to be ascertained while the injured ones were sent to the hospital in Palpa district, according to the District Police Office, Gulmi. 
 
The microbus (Ba 4 Kha 5501) was heading to Tamghas in Gulmi from Butwal when the accident occurred. 
 
At least 31 people lost their lives when the passenger bus, heading from Rajbiraj to Kathmandu, plunged into Trishuli River on Saturday morning.
