Bomb goes off in Kapilvastu's Banganga, 9 injured

A bomb went off at Gajehada of Banganga Municipality ward no.14 of Kapilvastu on Sunday.

According to police, the bomb was exploded at a time when the joint panel of Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) were filing their nominations for June 28 local level elections.

At least nine people have sustained injuries. They have been taken to hospital for treatment.

"Most of the injured are NC and CPN (Maoist Center)'s cadres," informed Police Sub-Inspector Prakash KC. KC added that four among nine are seriously injured in the incident. They are Bijay Tharu, Sahabuddin Manihar, Sheshram Gupta and Lal Bahadur Tharu.

Police have suspected that the cadres of Biplav-led CPN Maoist are involved in the explosion.
