Ucpn-maoist and CPN-UML to talk with dissenting parties

The UCPN-Maoist and CPN-UML have discussed on how to move ahead responsibly in the days ahead regarding the upcoming election.

At the meeting held at the residence of Senior Leader of CPN-UML at Koteswor in the capital, top leaders of both the parties focused on their role as major parties to make the November 19 election a success.

They also reviewed the discussions held with other parties from High Level Political Committee (HLPC) in group and separate and agreed to make a common voice among HLPC members on how to address the dissenting parties' demands.

Although they are united in addressing the demands of dissenting parties, they can not amend the 25-point order on removing difficulties.

 In the two -hour long talks, Senior Leader Nepal said talks will be held with the dissenting parties including CPN-Maoist and added new approach will not be relevant even if some process can be improved.

 Acting Chairman of CPN-UML Bamdev Gautam said the November 19 election can not be scuttled as it is indispensable for the Nepalese.

  UCPN-Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said serious discussion was held on how to conclude election in the stipulated time and added, "We can not go against holding election on the date".

 Also present were during the talks were Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Post Bahadur Bogati from UCPN-Maoist and  Nepal, Gautam, KP Sharma Oli and General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel from UML. RSS
